Alan Christianson, NMD

Raised in rural northern Minnesota, Dr. Christianson was fascinated with plants, science and healing from an early age. He completed his premedical studies at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, N.D. and studied nursing at Beltrami Technical Institute in Bemidji, Minn.

Dr. Christianson was one of the first students to graduate from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine www.scnm.edu in Tempe, Ariz., the third school in the nation to combine alternative and conventional medicine. He was educated in primary care medicine along with natural endocrinology, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, spinal manipulation and IV therapies.

Dr. Christianson is Board Certified in Anti-Aging Medicine and has done post-doctoral studies in Ayurvedic Medicine with the American Institute of Vedic Studies www.vedanet.com in Santa Fe, NM. He has received additional training in chelation therapy and Intravenous Micronutrient Therapy (IVMT). He specializes in anti-aging, endocrinology (the balancing of hormones) and pain management.

In 1997 newlyweds, Dr. Alan and Kirin Christianson decided to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where people could be treated as individuals, receive customized health management, and use safe methods to achieve optimal health results. This is how Integrative Health Care was born.

He and his wife currently reside in Scottsdale, AZ along with their 2 children, Saint Bernard/Australian Shepard Mix dog and calico bunny rabbit. When not practicing or spending time with family, he enjoys rock climbing, flying, and all two-wheeled pursuits - on road or off, motor or pedals.

Dr. Christianson is wonderful! For the last 4 years I have suffered from migraine headaches. I had been to 5 doctors who said there was nothing wrong with me- so they prescribed pain medication.
