"Beauty from the inside out"

Due to a high demand from our patients to add cosmetic procedures, we now offer additional services to enhance your beauty from the inside out. The same gentle approach you have come to expect from us is used with only the physicians administering all cosmetic services.

Our patients know that exercise, good diet and nutrition, specific types of supplements and a healthy skin care regimen can keep them looking and feeling their best. Some of our patients like to augment their routine with the natural Cosmetic Services offered at IHC.

Treatments offered are:

Botox®: These are tiny injections that are used to eliminate wrinkles by causing facial muscles to relax. Patients with excessive underarm sweating, called hyperhydrosis can benefit from Botox injections. Botox® prevents sweating for months by blocking the release of neurotransmitters which causes the glands to produce sweat.

Restylane® is an injectable filler that helps wrinkles, depressions and folds in the skin. It can help with scarring and provide that youthful lip fullness. Restylane® injections can last for approximately six months.

Radiesse® is a longer lasting dermal filler that is injected into the skin to soften creases or folds and support areas of volume loss or contour specific facial areas.

Lipotherapy or Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure. Microinjections of medicines, vitamins and amino acids cause fat cells to burst and then are eliminated through normal body functions. This treatment is chosen by patients who want to avoid the adverse side effects and risks of plastic surgery. Common names and areas treated include “saddle bags” (found on the outer thigh) “banana folds”(found just below the buttocks), “love handles” (found around the waist) and “thick” calves, ankles and arms and the area underneath the neck.

Cryosurgery/Cryotherapy: The use of freezing temperatures on cells can treat warts, moles, skin tags, solar keratoses, and small skin cancers. Liquid nitrogen is sprayed on the diseased tissue and a cooling sensation can be felt. Patients undergoing cryosurgery may experience minor-to-moderate localized pain and redness, which can be relieved by an oral analgesic like aspirin or ibuprofen. Blisters may form on the area treated, but these usually scab over and peel away. For patients with warts that are resistant to cryosurgery, Candida antigen injections may be suggested. The antigen is injected with a very thin needle just under the wart which causes the body's natural immune response to attack the Candida and the wart. Injections are given every 4 weeks for a series of three, or until the warts are eliminated. This is a fairly painless procedure with no blistering or scabbing associated with cryosurgery.
