Hope you’re having a great spring. Have you gotten your RDA of vitamin N, as in nature, lately? I think there is no more powerful remedy for the chaos of modern life. I love connecting with nature during this time of year.
The way we live immersed in electronics is so new and unprecedented. Think about the naivete of the first generations with television and processed food. They had no clue at the time that these devices required conscious temperance.
If your time is tight and your access to nature is limited, start with watching the sunset. It’s powerful. This coming week, see if you can watch it at least twice.
My family has made a habit of it as of late. Most nights we’ll ride up the road to a perfect vantage point and watch.
Here’s a tip: google sunset [your zip code] to find the time. To really see the show, allow 5 minutes before the official time and at least 20 minutes afterwards. Don’t look right at the sun and leave your phone at home.
Notice how you sleep that night and how you feel the following day. Make a few notes in your journal about it.
