We do this by incorporating a balanced health plan designed for your specific needs. No two protocols are exactly alike, because no two individual are exactly alike. We combine conventional medicine with evidence-based natural medicine to provide you with optimal health.
Comprehensive Testing
IHC offers conventional blood tests and specialty tests to further pinpoint problems and their causes. Here is a brief list of tests that are offered:
Allergy Testing
Helps discover causative agents that lead to inflammation, gas and bloating and other symptoms.
Nutritional Testing
IHC offers several different nutritional panels. They are designed to test for amino acids, micronutrients and vitamins. By finding your specific nutritional profile your doctor can tailor supplementation more efficiently and this translates to cost savings for our patients.
Heavy Metal Testing
Patients with chronic illness or exposure to heavy metals can benefit from having their levels determined, which helps create a treatment plan.
Candida Tests
Candida is a normal organism that lives in our GI tract. The normal balance of intestinal bacteria can be disrupted by aggressive use of antibiotics, high sugar intake, certain types of medications, and diabetes. With candidiasis, symptoms can include fatigue, vaginitis, allergies and other symptoms. We are able to effectively treat candidiasis based on accurate testing.
Endocrine Tests
The measurement of specific hormonal levels along with the function of different glands in your body. Your doctor may run tests to determine thyroid function, growth hormone function, reproductive hormones (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, etc), bone and mineral metabolism and adrenal function based on your symptoms.
Neurotransmitter Testing
Neurotransmitters play a key role in many emotional and physiological functions in the body. By determining these levels, we are able to determine the basic deficiencies found in many conditions such as anxiety and depression and can then treat accordingly.
Metabolic Analysis
Your individual resting metabolic rate (RMR) is measured through oxygen uptake (VO2). This is a more accurate tool for weight management because it is based on how many calories you actually burn during a day. Once your RMR is calculated, your body fat is measured through bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). Your doctor can then customize a diet plan for you based on your requirements and can track your progress. These tests can be performed in the office and a diet plan created at your visit. |
