Frequently Asked Questions

If I become a patient, how much do visits cost?

The initial visit with one of the Integrative Health Doctors is a one time fee of $397. This is an hour-long visit with the doctor in which the two of you will review recent labs, history, and symptoms. You will leave with a well thought out care plan, personalized to your needs. All subsequent follow-up visits are $184 each.

What do the Integrative Health doctors treat?
Our doctors focus on the treatment of thyroid disease (Hypothyroid and Hyperthyroid), Hashimoto’s, Hormone Balancing (HRT), Adrenal health, gut health, detoxification, and general medicine.
Do you take my insurance or Medicare?
We do not contract with any insurance companies and are strictly fee for service. Some patients do seek reimbursement with their insurance plans, but we highly recommend speaking to your plan before pursuing this option. Many patients use their insurance to cover blood draws at their local lab, but please be advised that coverage is dependent on your individual insurance plan. If you have a health savings account or flex spending plan, you may wish to self-submit your receipt. Please be sure to ask your plan coordinator for details.
Will I be able to get my thyroid medication?
If you are on thyroid medication or should you need a new type of medication, your doctor will be able to prescribe this for you. We carry 2 types of thyroid medication in the office, which can be purchased from Integrative Health and shipped to your home after your visit. Medications will be prescribed on an individualized basis and can also be sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
Where will I get any supplements and/or medication my doctor prescribed?
We carry many of the supplements our doctors use to treat their patients. These supplements may be purchased from Integrative Health and shipped to your home after your visit. Medications can be prescribed and sent to a pharmacy of your choice, or shipped from the office in the case of certain thyroid medications.
Will bloodwork be ordered prior to my visit?
To get the most out of the visit, our doctors encourage all patients to update their blood work prior to the appointment if they have not done so recently. We are happy to send you a lab order once the appointment is scheduled and all consent forms and medical history have been completed. This lab work must be completed at least one full week prior to the appointment to ensure we have all results before the visit.
If you have had labs done recently, you are welcome to email or fax them to us before your appointment. Your doctor will take the time to review these before speaking with you.
Which labs do the doctors need to assess my thyroid situation?
A full initial screen would be best:

  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone – TSH
  • Free T4
  • Free T3
  • Antithyroid peroxidase antibodies
  • Antithyroglobulin antibodies
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
  • CBC
  • Serum Ferritin
Will insurance cover my labs?

Many patients use their insurance to cover blood draws at their local lab, but please be advised that coverage is dependent on your individual insurance plan.   Please be aware that Medicare and Tricare do not recognize naturopathic physicians and will not provide coverage on labs. We are able to offer resources for purchasing your own labs if you do not use insurance and will be happy to provide further information at the time of scheduling.

Do I have to be seen in person for my visit? What if I am unable to travel?
We are excited to be able to offer Telemedicine visits to those who are live in Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Utah! Using our HIPAA compliant Telemedicine portal you will be able to log in and see your doctor face-to-face for all visits. This simply requires a computer with a webcam, microphone, and a strong internet connection.  If this is the best option for you, we will happily provide further details at the time of scheduling.

*Please note: We must see patients in office once per year to prescribe testosterone therapy, with additional follow up visits throughout the year that can be delivered via telemedicine.

Does Integrative Health see children?
Integrative Health does not specialize in pediatrics, but we are able to treat adolescents 13 and older on a case-by-case basis. We are happy to provide a local referral at your request.
