Although agave may have a lower glycemic index, it actually can be sweeter than sugar because it is high in fructose. It is not recommended with the Mediclear program.
Caffeine can be hard on your liver and this program will help give your liver a break. You can have 1 cup of caffeine-free herbal tea or coffee substitute per day. 1 serving of Stevia per day is ok.
Generally, dressings should be low in calories, sugars and ingredients. One of the best and easiest dressings is simply a couple teaspoons of olive oil, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 2 tsp of lemon juice, pinch of salt, and ½ tsp of crushed peppermint leaves.
You can continue to take wheatgrass in moderation. This will help you detox as you continue to lose weight with the Mediclear program.
Cottage cheese can be added to your lean & green meal. It is a great staple to add because it is low in carbohydrates, sodium and calories. It is also a good source of protein, fat, and vitamins. For every 100gms (equivalent to 6.5 tablespoons) , there are 98 calories.

If you get hungry before the next time you have a shake or meal, trying drinking a glass of water and doing some deep breathing exercises. Don’t forget you can have a small snack, such as a vegetable, to hold you over to the next meal. Make sure you are using 2 scoops of the Mediclear powder per shake.
Types of snacks include vegetables such as bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots, green beans and peas are also great snack ideas. In terms of quantity, 1 cup full is a good portion. Try alternating between snacks. You can add an apple if you feel like you need a fruit choice, but keep it minimal.

A regular and normal bowel movement should be at least 1-2 per day. If you are not eliminating well, consult your doctor to see if a fiber supplement or magnesium supplementation will be suitable for you.

This program is designed for adults and youth older than 12 years old and is recommended to do under the supervision of a medical practitioner. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant as it is not recommended for you. Side effects can include weight loss, headaches, nausea, constipation, fatigue. These symptoms are generally resolved in 3 – 10 days.
Lean & Green can be a mixed green salad with spinach, arugula, radicchio, romaine lettuce with a piece of protein such as chicken breast, grilled salmon, or roasted turkey. Other ideas for lean & green include beets, soups, stir-fry, broccoli and chicken, chicken and mushrooms, hummus, kale salad, shrimp with garlic and basil, and vegetarian dips. There is a wide variety of lean & green meals, just get creative and the key point is to make sure that this meal contains a good proportion of 1/2 low starch vegetables and 1/2 protein.
