A lot of my patients ask me about my journey with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, and the things that I did to reverse this disease for myself. Truly, the answer is simple: It’s not all about what “I did,” but what “I do” on a daily basis to keep my body balanced and healthy.
Upon learning of my diagnosis, I began investigating all the possible triggers that had occurred in my life. After that long process of “peeling back the layers like an onion,” I was able to reach a balanced and steady state.
I can confidently state that my continued efforts have kept my antibodies at bay, while keeping my thyroid structure rid of any cellular changes (like nodules, cysts, or masses).
When it comes to my patients, I encourage them to embrace their individual journey as an opportunity to learn more about themselves and know that your health is a daily effort. If you keep pressing at it, you will be able to achieve and maintain a healthy state of being.
